The recipe starts with imported German malt for the majority of the grist and then we upend the entire hop profile by utilizing four New Zealand varietals in place of a European selection. For those familiar with Half Acre heavy hitters of the past few years, you’ll recognize the names – Motueka, Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and Superdelic. Through a more restrained dry hop load, these hops deliver a fresh bouquet of concord grape jelly, strawberry, and pineapple without overpowering the pilsner’s multigrain bread flavor.
