Houseplant Workshop 10/22

Attention all plant lovers: We’re teaming up with Chicago’s houseplant expert, Uncommon Plant Guy, for a hands-on workshop at Half Acre! You’ll learn how to create a stunning, moss-wrapped plant in the Japanese art of kokedama. Kokedama is the art of growing and displaying houseplants in a self-contained moss ball planter that can be hung or displayed on a decorative dish. For $85, every participant will choose their own high-quality plant, all moss and materials needed to create their kokedama, a detailed take-home guide for ongoing care, and leave with a hand-made and truly unique creation to add to their plant collection at home. 

A perfect way to unwind—bring your friends, plan a unique date, or just enjoy great drinks while creating something beautiful.

This workshop will be benefiting the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Price and fees for the workshop will cover the material cost and all remaining profits will be donated.
