Non-Perishable & Hygiene Item Drive 11/12 – 12/21
With grocery costs climbing and uncertainty around November SNAP distributions, we’re working to help our neighbors in need. Half Acre will host a food and hygiene drive benefiting The Friendship Center — a local organization serving over 5,000 Chicagoans each month through its fresh-food pantry, home deliveries, hot meals, pet pantry, and other vital resources.
Public collection begins November 12, but an early donation bin will be available in the brewery starting November 1 for anyone who’d like to contribute sooner.
Accepted items include but are not limited to:
Non-food & hygiene:
toothpaste, deodorant, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, bar soap, baby diapers, baby wipes, menstrual products, toilet paper
Non-perishable foods:
dried or canned beans, nuts and seeds, canned proteins, grains, soups, canned fruits and vegetables, nut butters, jerky, protein or granola bars, freeze-dried meals
Every contribution helps sustain The Friendship Center’s essential work — please spread the word and join us in supporting our community this season.
